As everyone knows, there are two major arbitration bodies authorized by ICANN to handle UDRP Cases. On Monday, we listed the top panelists at WIPO that have Denied more claims than all the other panelists.
Today, we turn our attention to the National Arbitration Forum (NAF) located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The NAF made news this year when one of its panels decided to deny a claim on the equitable basis of laches, which is basically delaying for no good reason to bring an action thus prejudicing the Respondent Domain Holder. Here, like WIPO, there was a substantial increase in the number of Reverse Domain Name Hijacking findings. See http://HallOfShame.com for a complete list.
Here are the Top Ten Panelists for the 6 months ending December 31st, 2013:
1. Hon. Neil Brown (also Number 1 on the 6 month WIPO list) – 6 Decisions – Found for the Respondent based on laches.
